Andrographis and elevated liver enzymes

Dear Stephen,
My daughter is on the Cowden protocol and has had slightly raised liver enzymes. She recently added andrographis and her liver enzymes are now even higher. Will andrographis cause elevated liver enzymes? Thank you for your time and your reply.

Stephen’s response:
Andrographis is and has been traditionally used for liver disease; it tends to lower enzyme levels if anything. I would add 1200 mg of standardized milk thistle daily, this should lower enzyme levels and protect liver function effectively.
Stephen

This protocol was incredible. After only a few weeks most of my symptoms were gone. After six months all my symptoms were gone… it has given me my life back.
