My daughter was diagnosed with Lyme Disease on July 18. The doctor gave her 28 days of Doxycillan. She said that is all that my daughter would need and that this would be cured but she would have symptoms for a year and possibly longer. She will not give anymore medicine at a later time. I believe my daughter was infected around March or April of 2011 and diagnosed July 18. She is showing some signs of advanced Lyme disease. I would like something to relieve her continuing symptoms of joint pain, bloody noise, depression, mood swings, skin crawling, headaches, and sore skin around the neck and shoulder area. I will be taking her in this week for blood tests but know I will not receive anymore help! Help! My daughter is 19 and do not want her to have to live something that could be cured and symptoms relieved. Any suggestions you might have I would greatly appreciate. Thank You, Deb Hickins

I didn't notice a supplier for Stephania Cepharantha on this site (for neuroborreliosis symptoms), so I asked my acupuncturist to check his connections and he came up with this source for bai yao zi:

I'm sorry but I don't know what a luteolin is...can you try doing a Google search? If you intended this question to go to Stephen Buhner, you'll need to submit it through his Q&A column - just click on the purple “submit a question” button under his photo in the upper right corner of his column (http://planetthrive.com/category/experts/buhner). Best, Julie

Hi Earthwalker,

Vincamine, as Buhner points out in 'Healing Lyme,' has been replaced by its derivative called vinpocetine. I buy it on-line from Beyond a century as a pure powder: http://easycart.net/BeyondACenturyInc./
It helped me immensely when I was getting shooting pains in my head during a flare-up of neuroborreliosis. And it has improved my memory a great deal. As someone who also struggles with ME, vinpocetine's vasodilating qualities have also helped relieve muscle pain and mental fatigue due to hypoxia, or lack of oxygen (which is caused by deformed/rigid blood cells being unable to flow through the capillaries properly).

Beyond a century also carries andrographis powder, Resveratrol Powder (pure polygonum cuspidatum 50% extract - though I'm unsure of how to adapt the dosage), pregnenolone powder (which has also helped me enormously), NAC powder, ALA powder, L Acetyl Carnitine powder, Taurine powder, NAD tablets, B vitamins in pure powder form (better tolerated by some who are highly allergic) and many other items that are suggested by Buhner, and at a far lower cost than encapsulated formulas on discount websites.

Hope this helps. Thanks for all that you are doing to connect others to valuable sources for self-healing.

There is alcohol in the red root tincture recommened by Stephen. I can't use any tincture because of the alcohol. Also, There is an issue with using a blood thinner ( Nattokinase) with red root.

Hi Betty,
Stephen Buhner does not necessarily read comments posted to articles on our site. If you’d like to ask him a question, please submit it through the purple “submit a question” button under his photo in the upper right column of his column (<a href="http://planetthrive.com/category/experts/buhner/" rel="nofollow">planetthrive.com/category/experts/buhner</a>).

I am a little confused by your post. Is there a conflict with taking Nattokinase and Red Root - is there alcohol content in either of them? That seems to be what you are implying. Please clarify if you do send it to Stephen through our column.

You might want to read these other posts on Nattokinase on our site, one person has reported very positive results using it in combination with Stephen's protocol. <a href="http://planetthrive.com/tag/nattokinase/" rel="nofollow">planetthrive.com/tag/nattokinase</a> Best of luck!
