with Stephen Harrod Buhner, master herbalist
On April 26, a question was answered which included if spider veins might be related to lyme disease. In “The Lyme Disease Solution” spider veins are listed as a symptom of BLO (“bartonella-like organism”) and bartonella. I too have had spider veins occurring since having lymes. I also have had lots of the symptoms listed for BLOs. I am on the protocol and am happily making progress. The Japanese knotweed is what you recommend for bartonella and so – thanks, and more thanks!
Stephen’s response:
Thanks for this, and you are welcome.

Hello,
I have come off Naturopathic supplements for my low thyroid. Not by choice, but from the lack of availability to get them into Canada.
What can I use in herbs to help with low thyroid and the symptoms of it?
Weight gain, hair loss, fingernail loss, LOW body temperature at night, higher during the day with some similiar spikes like menopause.
Gratefulness to you,
Laona

I HAVE USED KELP TABLETS OR DRIED KELP OR POTASSIUM IODIDE FOR THE IODINE NEEDED TO STIMULATE NORMAL THYROID PRODUCTION AND SELENIUM TABLETS I CANT TELL YOU THE PROPER DOSE BUT START OUT WITH A SMALL AMOUNT FOR SEVERAL WEEKS AND SEE HOW YOU FEEL.
CAN YOU GET BIOIDENTICAL THYROID FROM A PHARMACY THERE . ITS REALLY IMPORTANT TO KEEP YOUR BODY TEMP CLOSER TO NORMAL FOR IMMUNE SYSTEM FUNCTION.
ALSO THE HERB COLEUS FORSKOLHII REALLY HELPS IMPROVE THYROID FUNCTION. CHECK IT OUT.
BIG HELP IS TO NOT EAT TOO MANYCRUCIFEROUS VEGGIES AS THIS REALLY SLOWS DOWN THE THYROID, ESPECIALLY RAW. JUST EAT IN MODERATION.
HOPE THIS HELPS.
