with Stephen Harrod Buhner, master herbalist
My ND says that Lyme is no longer a problem for me after two years of herbs, homeopathics, & Rife machine. I believe I contracted Lyme in late spring of 2007 but was never really sick in comparison with so many people. I did not take antibiotics at any point as I had just come out of a year’s battle with Clostridium difficile. I understand that astralagus can act as a preventive against tick embedding. Can I take it and if so what brand do you recommend and what dosage? Thank you.
Stephen’s response:
Yes, astragalus is perfect to take long term as a preventative. Any reputable brand of capsule will work.

For those of us using fresh herbs, what proportion of astragulus should we use for maximum benefit?
Thanks!

Hi Rachel,
If you are asking Stephen Buhner this question, you’ll need to click the “submit a question” button in upper right column on this page. Does he not answer this in his book? I don’t remember.
