with Stephen Harrod Buhner, master herbalist
My doctor says I have “thick” blood and should take nattokinase. Is there an overlap between the red root and nattokinase?
Stephen’s response:
You can take red root and nattokinase together. I don’t recommend the use of red root in capsule form – only tincture.

Hi Stephen,
I have found Solaray Red Root capsules to be very effective in my practice if used at higher doses 12-16 daily.
Please tell me why you think capsules are not effective.
Many people with Chronic Lyme have trouble with tinctures, due to the alcohol, the gluten or corn proteins in the alcohol, or due to the fact they can not put it in their pill minder and remember to take it throughout the day.
So please explain your reasoning for saying “I don’t recommend the use of red root in capsule form – only tincture.” Thanks
Karen
