with William J. Rea, M.D., F.A.C.S., F.A.A.E.M.
Are you aware of the brain retraining programs out there, such as the Gupta Amygdala Retraining™ Program and the Dynamic Neural Retraining System™ (DNRS) developed by Annie Hopper, that claim to address MCS, CFS, FMS, and related conditions? They say that these illnesses are primarily brain injuries – limbic system disorders – that can be healed using neurolinguistic programming. There are reports of full recovery and also a lot of significant symptom reduction. Are you familiar with these treatments and how do you feel about them given your knowledge of the biology of these illnesses?
Dr. Rea’s response:
Yes, I am familiar with them! I have never seen one of these work without the reduction of the total body pollutant load and replacement of nutrient deficiency.

I´m one of those people. The Gupta programme worked for me. I did not do any special treatment for the reduction of the total body pollutant load nor replacement of nutrient deficiency. I think that when my amygdala was fine the load was reduced and the nutrients were fine. I didn´t had the need to check with expensive test my load but your welcome to estudy my case. Please do whatever it works to heal from illness. In my opinion there is no need to fight between aproaches. Maybe they are all necessary

The special treatment may be as simple as stay away from the stuff that is causing you bad symptoms temporarily until your training causes it stop reacting.

I didn’t have much luck with Gupta because its geared more towards M.E. and Fibro. Didn’t resonate with those limbic system conditions.
But when a friend told me about Annie Hopper’s brain retraining program, and how she fully recovered, I decided to give it a try. Best decision I ever made! I am now totally healed and back at work and in a new relationship with a wonderful (and scent-free!) man. I no longer take supplements or chelation….the program paid for itself many times over by now.
I would recommend to anyone to try brain retraining. Hopper’s is specifically for MCS and EHS so that was my preference. Best of luck to everyone!
