about me

I'm an African American butch lesbian (baby boomer) -- single parent of one adult child. I'm a photographer and filmmaker, currently producing & directing a feature length doc about a community representative of non traditional gender identities. I have become progressively ill over the last few years, and found out three months ago that I have chronic Lyme disease. I am currently housebound, unable to go out and work, and trying to figure out how to get well, and how to support myself in the meantime.
I have since my late teens sought information about holistic/alternative medicine and life style, so that has been my lifelong approach to dealing with health, illness and disease. I have been looking for a support group, and just found out about planet thrive. Thank you for existing, I hope I can contribute something to the community.
