about me
I am 24 years old, living in Terre Haute, IN with my husband and our princess kitty, Eleanor Rigby. I work as an x-ray tech at a doctor's office, and while I love x-ray, it's really just a job. My real passions are music, books, tattoos, modeling, and being a hippie enviromentalist.

My husband and I see as much live music as we can, spending all of our free time and money going to concerts. Any money I have left over goes to books and tats.

I'm a voracious reader, sometimes reading 3 or 4 books a week. I love everything from Stephen King and Chuck Pahlanuik to Milan Kundera and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I really love reading memoirs, like almost everything by Augusten Burroughs, and anything about the Beatles, Edie, or The Flaming Lips/Steven Drozd/Wayne Coyne. Other people's lives have always fascinated me in a way my own could not.

I currently have 8 tattoos, and am always planning another one! I'd like to eventually have half sleeves, and about every other square inch of skin covered!

Modeling is my creative outlet. I love studying ads in fashion magazines and searching the web for great sets. I love high fashion and America's Next Top Model, but my heart is really in 60's fashion, and 1950's style pin-up girls. My favorite models are Twiggy and Edie Segdwick, and my favorite photographers are Bunny Yeager and Nigel Barker. I haven't had the chance to do a lot of modeling, besides the pictures I've taken with my own camera, but I'm going to be a "Sample Girl" for a pin-up photo shoot for a friend soon! I'm really excited about it, and hope it will be a doorway to many more modeling opportunities! But really, I'm a hippie.

I love makeup and clothes and all that, but I'd give it all away to save the Earth. I love teaching other people the simple things they can do to help, and showing others that you can help, one person can make a difference, and it does matter! One Sweet World...

Overall, I'm just very happy with my life right now. I've been through a lot in the past few years, the majority of it being self-inflicted. But today I feel happier than ever, and more in control of my life than I knew I could be. My only wish for the future is that I continue being able to do all the things I love, and that I can keep my demons at bay. And when I can't, I always know I have a great family, and awesome friends that will always be there to help me through the darkness.
