I have food allergies that began very gradually 25 years ago, chocolate, citric acids, cannot eat processed foods, nitrates etc... The last ten years progressed to chemicals, air freshners, cleaning products, scented candles, tobacco smoke, smoke from burning leaves or brush, latex allergies developed last spring (2006) and progressed into my clothes by that fall (polyester, spandex, etc.) . I have found that even shopping is hazardous, grocery stores smell like air freshners, big department stores just walking in the clothing area I get
worse. I left my Job in a law firm March of 2006. I had a lot of eye infections, skin problems, such as skin stinging, turning red and rough feeling, coughing , eyes dark and hurt all the time, just tired and feeling sick all the time. I often took several benadryl a day to get through a day at work. I am currently raising a variety of small berries at home to maybe sell at farmers markets. I enjoy working outside. It is a work in progress. I started training this month in a small law office that is willing to work with me on the allergies. So, I am giving it a go. I have two grandchildren ages 6 and 4. I keep very busy and I still have trouble sleeping.
