Traditional boards are treated with Mineral Oil, a distillate of petroleum. To avoid fossil fuels, we coat our boards with Pure Beeswax, which increases wood resistance to fungi by 90%. Treated with USDA Certified organic coconut oil to keep our cutting boards surface smooth and deeply moisturized.
Our processes use up to 67% less energy than materials used in traditional kitchenware. All our packaging is biodegradable and plastic-free. Endocrine Disruptors present in plastic, bamboo and substandard cutting boards end up in your food. Our boards are free of BPA, phthalates and formaldehyde-based adhesives.
I’ve been waiting to find a good cutting board for YEARS!! I saw this ad on Facebook and was distrustful. I typically react poorly to wood and glues and sealants. I took a chance buying this one. I couldn’t believe it — I could use it right out of the box, literally. There was no smell to it!! It’s heavier than I thought but has convenient side handles to move it around. It is AWESOME!! I might have to get another larger one!! Highly recommended. These are beautiful products and non-toxic!
