There is certainly nothing wrong with using the suggested “Stop, stop, stop!” phrase as part of the Annie Hopper Dynamic Neural Retraining System™ (DNRS™) or Ashok Gupta Amygdala Retraining™ Programme – many brain retrainers are using this phrase very successfully as part of brain retraining programs to overcome limbic system impairment syndromes such as chemical sensitivity and chronic fatigue syndrome. But for some, “Stop, stop, stop!” may feel uncomfortable or overly stimulating. For others, the phrase just doesn’t provide enough oomph to divert them away from a trauma loop thought pattern. In response, a creative group of committed brain retrainers from Planet Thrive’s Gupta Support Group have compiled a list of alternative phrases to offer some options to those who prefer not to use the “Stop, stop, stop!” phrase of these powerful brain retraining programs. The list breaks down the alternative phrases into themes such as “gentle” (e.g., Relax, relax, relax) and “humorous” (e.g. Whoa Nelly!). You can read the full list on the limbicretraining.com website or on the Planet Thrive community itself. Enjoy!
