Relapsing fever and multiple infections

Dear Stephen,
Thank you for answering questions and allowing to be an instrument for the help of so many! What would you suggest for persistent relapsing fever? We want to use natural agents in conjunction with antibiotics (my wife is on IV doxycycline). Thank you!

Stephen’s response:
Relapsing fever? There are a number of types: malaria, babesia, borrelia. Do you know which kind? Protocols for each of those are included in the second edition of Herbal Antibiotics, the babesia book, and the second edition of Healing Lyme, respectively. The protocols are quite often effective in taking care of them.

Stephen came from a long line of healers including Leroy Burney, Surgeon General of the United States under Eisenhower and Kennedy, and Elizabeth Lusterheide, a midwife and herbalist who worked in rural Indiana in the early nineteenth century. The greatest influence on his work, however, was his great-grandfather C.G. Harrod who primarily used botanical medicines, also in rural Indiana, when he began his work as a physician in 1911.

Stephen’s work has appeared or been profiled in publications throughout North America and Europe including Common Boundary, Apotheosis, Shaman’s Drum, The New York Times, CNN, and Good Morning America. Stephen lectured yearly throughout the United States on herbal medicine, the sacredness of plants, the intelligence of Nature, and the states of mind necessary for successful habitation of Earth.

He was a tireless advocate for the reincorporation of the exploratory artist, independent scholar, amateur naturalist, and citizen scientist in American society – especially as a counterweight to the influence of corporate science and technology.

This protocol was incredible. After only a few weeks most of my symptoms were gone. After six months all my symptoms were gone… it has given me my life back.

    Dear Stephen,
I am a newcomer to healing Lyme with herbs, having tried and stopped antibiotics due to side effects. I have Babesia duncani and tried Artimisinin but my migraines have increased with 380mg/day of Artimisinin. I am 79 years with chronic Lyme. (At present my last Igenix tests have been negative for Lyme, positive for Babesia duncani.) Should I try the Sida acuta from Woodland Essence that you recommend? If so, being extremely sensitive to most drugs and herbals, what dosage would you recommend?

Start with 1 drop as sida acuta is extremely strong. You may feel lots of anxiety panic and racing heart also burning sensations like nueralgia for the first few days. Detox is essential if you don’t detox the bigger side effect you will have. If you start to feel any symptoms quickest way to get rid of them would be an epsom salt bath and also immediately drop 2 alka seltzer tablets into a glass of water and drink. This will soothe the anxiety. You can up the dosage on the sida when you feel less side effects.

How about for european and californian strains or borellia and relapsing fever (borellia) all same protocol herbs?
