Dear Stephen,
I’m battling lyme with neurological problems. I just ordered Japanese knotweed, banderol, lithium orotate, samento, deer antler, laminaria digitata, flax, borage oil, bio curcumin with ginger, niacin time release flush, pure adrenal 400, provinal omega-7 fish oil, and bio b complex. Is there anything else you recommend? I also have tuberculosis in both my lungs and air hunger. I have gained over 100 pounds since I began battling this. All my muscles hurt, sacroiliac joint, and Achilles tendinitis. Where should I go from here?

Stephen’s response:
The second edition of Healing Lyme is generally what I suggest for neurolyme protocols. I do have some protocols for TB in the second edition of Herbal Antibiotics.

Stephen Harrod Buhner was an Earth poet and an award-winning author of twenty-four books on nature, indigenous cultures, the environment, and herbal medicine including the acclaimed book Healing Lyme: Natural Healing & Prevention of Lyme Borreliosis & Its Co-infections.

Stephen came from a long line of healers including Leroy Burney, Surgeon General of the United States under Eisenhower and Kennedy, and Elizabeth Lusterheide, a midwife and herbalist who worked in rural Indiana in the early nineteenth century. The greatest influence on his work, however, was his great-grandfather C.G. Harrod who primarily used botanical medicines, also in rural Indiana, when he began his work as a physician in 1911.

Stephen’s work has appeared or been profiled in publications throughout North America and Europe including Common Boundary, Apotheosis, Shaman’s Drum, The New York Times, CNN, and Good Morning America. Stephen lectured yearly throughout the United States on herbal medicine, the sacredness of plants, the intelligence of Nature, and the states of mind necessary for successful habitation of Earth.

He was a tireless advocate for the reincorporation of the exploratory artist, independent scholar, amateur naturalist, and citizen scientist in American society – especially as a counterweight to the influence of corporate science and technology.

This protocol was incredible. After only a few weeks most of my symptoms were gone. After six months all my symptoms were gone… it has given me my life back.

    Dear Stephen,

I have to admit that I am just finding out about your new protocol. I have been doing your old protocol from the “Healing Lyme and Coinfections ” book for the last 30 days. I think it really helped me fight off a recent tick bite with a target reaction. I am allergic to antibiotics. I also did 3 stings from honey bees around the target as per Ellie Lobel’s suggestion. Perhaps you are familiar with her Bee Venom protocol. I have been feeling some tightness in my chest if I don’t keep up with your recommendations for the very rich diet you outlined of olive oil, chlorella, avocado and eggs. My Naturopath recommends that I stay on your protocol for at least another few weeks. Should I start your recent protocol, or continue with the old one?

Thank you for your amazing work. I greatly appreciate your knowledge and insights. I just ordered your 2nd edition and the Plant Inteligences book and I look forward to reading them! Many Blessings to you and yours!

    Hi Barb,
You can find the latest Lyme protocol in the book Healing Lyme, 2nd edition. If you are looking for the protocol for Bartonella, Babesia and other co-infections, there are separate books for those. See our bookstore for all of Stephen’s books.

    Dear Stephen,

I have your books (Healing Lyme 2:nd edition and Healing Lyme disease coinf. Bartonella and Mycoplasma).

Hi, What is the best test for Bartonella, Babesia, Mycoplasm, etc. We did IgNex for Borrelia. My son Igs are borderline Low and he was Ignex Positive for Lyme (IgG and IgM), only IgM CDC positive. An infectious disease useless doctor says there is no Lyme, but my son has neurological symptoms (autism and pandas/pans since 12 months or so, after a vaccine injury and maybe a tic/nimph bite). Borrelia (not only burg. and co infection might run in the family for at least three generations)

    Hello,

I have been sick for 11 months just now diagnosed with Lyme / ehrlichia and a past infection of Bart. I have your book treating CoInfections. The ehrlichia section seems very complicated. Do I need to take all of these mixtures?
