Dear Stephen,
I have had good success with your Core Protocol and appreciated your response to a question regarding lyme and pregnancy some years ago. I have lyme and extensive allergies, and, after being mostly well for 10 years, am once again experiencing chronic vaginal symptoms. My yeast overgrowth/allergies are being well-addressed through antifungals and immunotherapy (LDA), but I have recurrent bacterial vaginosis that has not responded to various forms of treatment. I have searched the archive and your Herbal Antibiotics book, but haven’t found anything specific for gardnerella. Do you have any suggestions?
Stephen

Stephen Harrod Buhner was an Earth poet and an award-winning author of twenty-four books on nature, indigenous cultures, the environment, and herbal medicine including the acclaimed book Healing Lyme: Natural Healing & Prevention of Lyme Borreliosis & Its Co-infections.
Stephen came from a long line of healers including Leroy Burney, Surgeon General of the United States under Eisenhower and Kennedy, and Elizabeth Lusterheide, a midwife and herbalist who worked in rural Indiana in the early nineteenth century. The greatest influence on his work, however, was his great-grandfather C.G. Harrod who primarily used botanical medicines, also in rural Indiana, when he began his work as a physician in 1911.
Stephen’s work has appeared or been profiled in publications throughout North America and Europe including Common Boundary, Apotheosis, Shaman’s Drum, The New York Times, CNN, and Good Morning America. Stephen lectured yearly throughout the United States on herbal medicine, the sacredness of plants, the intelligence of Nature, and the states of mind necessary for successful habitation of Earth.
He was a tireless advocate for the reincorporation of the exploratory artist, independent scholar, amateur naturalist, and citizen scientist in American society – especially as a counterweight to the influence of corporate science and technology.

I’ve been told I have granuloma annulare on top of my hands to elbows. I believe I have Lyme disease (although not recognised in Australia); is there a test to determine if I have acrodermatitis chronica atrophicans? And any suggested treatment. I have your 2nd ed. book.
I have purchased your book and have used some of the herbs mentioned with good success. I am just having an issue defeating proteus miribalis in the vagina and urinary tract. I’ve knocked a lot out with usnea, however it is still giving me symptoms as well as a non Albicans yeast. Usnea has done a really great job, just not enough to knock it completely out.
