Dear Stephen, I was diagnosed with lyme 22 years ago and also have multiple sclerosis. My latest issue is a fungal infection and resulting perforation in my eardrum. Is there something you could recommend?
The Basics
Orthostatic intolerance and tinctures
Dear Stephen, I seem to have orthostatic intolerance (OI) issues that are made worse with herbs that are classed as vasodilators…interestingly, I discovered that I can better tolerate these same herbs when taken in tincture form rather than powder.
Bulk cat’s claw taken in applesauce
Dear Stephen, I would like to use the Raintree bulk cat’s claw for cost savings. Is it advisable to mix the bulk product with applesauce rather that putting into capsules or boiling into tea?
Lyme co-infections
Dear Stephen, I have mycoplasma, bartonella and Chlamydia trachomatis. Blood tests also show that I have had Chlamydia pneumoniae…what herbs do you suggest?
Red root tincture or whole herb?
Dear Stephen, I think red root would be useful to me but you state that tinctures are not good in old cases, while dosages of this herb are only listed in tincture. What would you recommend?
Timetable for results
Dear Stephen, The protocol calls for eight to twelve months, but when should I start potentially feeling the results (assuming I have lyme)? I’m not worried, I just want to be prepared.
Herbs concurrent with antibiotics advisable?
Dear Stephen, I am just wondering if the protocol is intended to be used only after antibiotics are stopped, or if I can do so concurrently.
Knotweed, red clover and hypercoagulation
Dear Stephen, With lyme and hypercoagulation, if one is taking Japanese knotweed, or any of the other herbs in the protocol, are there any contraindications with drinking Sir Jason Winters Tea?
Sarsaparilla maximum upper dosage
Dear Stephen, Is there a maximum dosage for smilax? I’ve worked up to 10 grams a day in a decoction and would like to go higher.
Stephania and Wobenzym N
Dear Stephen, Wobenzym N helps decrease herx reactions & allows me to breathe better. Should I continue with the wobenzym or will the herbs be enough to control die-off reactions?
