I’ve picked up some cat’s claw yesterday, the brand is Now. I got it from an organic/health food store in my area. I’m hoping this brand is decent. Got 100 capsules at 500mg each. I’m a little short on funds right now (thank you lyme disease) and want to know if I can start only the cat’s claw now with my amoxy/probe combo. Thank you.
Sure you can. However, if you are only going to use one herb I would suggest Japanese knotweed. You may be able to find it growing wild in your area, the root is the part to use. Still, the cat’s claw will help your immune function a lot.

Stephen came from a long line of healers including Leroy Burney, Surgeon General of the United States under Eisenhower and Kennedy, and Elizabeth Lusterheide, a midwife and herbalist who worked in rural Indiana in the early nineteenth century. The greatest influence on his work, however, was his great-grandfather C.G. Harrod who primarily used botanical medicines, also in rural Indiana, when he began his work as a physician in 1911.
Stephen’s work has appeared or been profiled in publications throughout North America and Europe including Common Boundary, Apotheosis, Shaman’s Drum, The New York Times, CNN, and Good Morning America. Stephen lectured yearly throughout the United States on herbal medicine, the sacredness of plants, the intelligence of Nature, and the states of mind necessary for successful habitation of Earth.
He was a tireless advocate for the reincorporation of the exploratory artist, independent scholar, amateur naturalist, and citizen scientist in American society – especially as a counterweight to the influence of corporate science and technology.
If Japanese Knotweed is the best can one use a supplement from Japanese Knotweed root (Polygonum cuspidatum) extracted as Resveratrol? Unfortunately in Europe the only pure Japanese Knotweed was about USD 90.00 for some capsules. So I found the Resveratrol option but unsure if that will work as a Lyme protocol? Any feedback would be most welcome. Am quite resolved to do anything to get this behind me. Cat’s Claw capsules and Artemisinin are already ordered.
Sorry, just found the answer right on this site (apologies!) & 1000 Blessings for this work!
