Dear Stephen,
After more than 4 years of IV and oral antibiotics for lyme, babesia and mycoplasma (2 types), I found I wasn’t making anymore progress. We stopped the antibiotics and I’ve been on your herbal protocol for the past 8 months. Progress has been slow but noticeable. However recently I’ve been feeling a lot worse and am perplexed as I haven’t modified my dose of the herbs. My doctor recently introduced Byron White’s formula for lyme (A-L complex) and for a time I thought it was helping. Have you seen people on the protocol get worse for periods of time without adjusting the dose, or is progress usually linear? Much obliged.
Stephen’s response:
Progress is usually linear, however there are a few people who experience ups and downs on the protocol. I would suggest altering the protocol but I need to know what you are taking.
Stephen

Stephen came from a long line of healers including Leroy Burney, Surgeon General of the United States under Eisenhower and Kennedy, and Elizabeth Lusterheide, a midwife and herbalist who worked in rural Indiana in the early nineteenth century. The greatest influence on his work, however, was his great-grandfather C.G. Harrod who primarily used botanical medicines, also in rural Indiana, when he began his work as a physician in 1911.

Stephen’s work has appeared or been profiled in publications throughout North America and Europe including Common Boundary, Apotheosis, Shaman’s Drum, The New York Times, CNN, and Good Morning America. Stephen lectured yearly throughout the United States on herbal medicine, the sacredness of plants, the intelligence of Nature, and the states of mind necessary for successful habitation of Earth.

He was a tireless advocate for the reincorporation of the exploratory artist, independent scholar, amateur naturalist, and citizen scientist in American society – especially as a counterweight to the influence of corporate science and technology.

This protocol was incredible. After only a few weeks most of my symptoms were gone. After six months all my symptoms were gone… it has given me my life back.

As per your book I am taking Cat,s Claw and Japaneses Knotweed pills 3x/ day. Also trying CBD dropper 2x/day. Two weeks. I took antibiotics for 2 years ending with a PIC line and Rocephon. Have been to 6 for help.

Fred, please share the source of your advice on supplements (garlic, kelp) if you are willing, since it is not common knowledge. Thanks!

Hi Stephen, I just got your book for healing lime diseases. I’ve had ureaplasma urealyticum for a year now but I only started taking antibiotics recently a few months ago Levoflaxocin and Doxicycline, unfortunately they haven’t helped and now I’m getting tingling in my body, is that a normal symptom for ureaplasma? I have started getting all the herbs to start the natural war against this. Just wondering what you think the most important anti-bacterial would be…I just ordered cryptolesis and am taking oregano oil, chaga, agericus, achh, berberis, olive oil, ashwaganda, and uva ursi. Thanks so much.
