Dear Stephen,
Are you aware of any herbalists with your philosophy in the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina?

Stephen’s response:
The closest I know is Kathleen Maier in Charlottesville, VA. She might know someone in your area.

Author

  • Stephen Harrod Buhner

Stephen Harrod Buhner was an Earth poet and an award-winning author of twenty-four books on nature, indigenous cultures, the environment, and herbal medicine including the acclaimed book Healing Lyme: Natural Healing & Prevention of Lyme Borreliosis & Its Co-infections.

Stephen came from a long line of healers including Leroy Burney, Surgeon General of the United States under Eisenhower and Kennedy, and Elizabeth Lusterheide, a midwife and herbalist who worked in rural Indiana in the early nineteenth century. The greatest influence on his work, however, was his great-grandfather C.G. Harrod who primarily used botanical medicines, also in rural Indiana, when he began his work as a physician in 1911.

Stephen’s work has appeared or been profiled in publications throughout North America and Europe including Common Boundary, Apotheosis, Shaman’s Drum, The New York Times, CNN, and Good Morning America. Stephen lectured yearly throughout the United States on herbal medicine, the sacredness of plants, the intelligence of Nature, and the states of mind necessary for successful habitation of Earth.

He was a tireless advocate for the reincorporation of the exploratory artist, independent scholar, amateur naturalist, and citizen scientist in American society – especially as a counterweight to the influence of corporate science and technology.

This protocol was incredible. After only a few weeks most of my symptoms were gone. After six months all my symptoms were gone… it has given me my life back.

So Does Dr Rawls out of NC and he has a website as well as live Lyme live tutorials that you can sign up for. His website has a full list of Medicinal Herbs with a list of Lyme Strains and a list of Co-Infections such Malaria, Meningitis, Leshmania, Telurimia and the list goes on. It’s quite extensive and highly informational. He too does not recommend the use if little of Artesmisiae because of its neurotoxicity! You must, it is a requirement to build up your Immune System and detoxification to cleanse the body of all die off biofilm s during treatment or you will build up enormous abouts of toxins. Cleansing helps to flush out the Anrenal, Lymphatic and Thyroid Systems which all need to be maintained since it is the systems that filter infection. Be careful because some may have infections within the Organs which can put enormous strain on your body and can be life threatening.

Do you know of any herbalists familiar with your protocol in NC, near Charlotte?

Here is our list of herbalists familiar with Stephen’s protocol: https://buhnerhealinglyme.com/resources/herbalists/ I don’t see anyone in North Carolina. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t any though. I would try asking on the Buhner Healing Lyme group on Facebook and also search for an herbalist organization in the southeast and ask if they can recommend someone. You can also just try doing a Google search for “Buhner lyme North Carolina” and similar keywords to see what comes up. Best wishes, Julie
