Dear Stephen,
I live in Connecticut and am looking for an herbalist familiar with your protocol. Do you know of anyone?

Stephen’s response:
You can try Myriah Hinchey, ND of the TAO Center for Vitality, Longevity, & Optimal Health in Hebron, CT at (860) 228-1287. She has been using the Healing Lyme protocol and treatment principles with patients and having success.

Stephen Harrod Buhner is an Earth poet and the award-winning author of twenty-three books on nature, indigenous cultures, the environment, and herbal medicine including the acclaimed book Healing Lyme: Natural Healing & Prevention of Lyme Borreliosis & Its Co-infections.

Stephen comes from a long line of healers including Leroy Burney, Surgeon General of the United States under Eisenhower and Kennedy, and Elizabeth Lusterheide, a midwife and herbalist who worked in rural Indiana in the early nineteenth century. The greatest influence on his work, however, has been his great-grandfather C.G. Harrod who primarily used botanical medicines, also in rural Indiana, when he began his work as a physician in 1911.

Stephen’s work has appeared or been profiled in publications throughout North America and Europe including Common Boundary, Apotheosis, Shaman’s Drum, The New York Times, CNN, and Good Morning America. Stephen lectures yearly throughout the United States on herbal medicine, the sacredness of plants, the intelligence of Nature, and the states of mind necessary for successful habitation of Earth.

He is a tireless advocate for the reincorporation of the exploratory artist, independent scholar, amateur naturalist, and citizen scientist in American society – especially as a counterweight to the influence of corporate science and technology.

This protocol was incredible. After only a few weeks most of my symptoms were gone. After six months all my symptoms were gone… it has given me my life back.

HI – I’m wondering if there are any herbalists/doctors that you rec in the New York city area or Westchester area or in NJ – who can guide us through your protocol for my 17 year old daughter who struggles with PANS and babesia and possibly bartonella (testing now). Thank you for any information!

    Dear IV,
I just stumbled upon this post.
I do not know who your mother is by reading this post and I am sorry for what she and you are going through. I do not do emergency medicine and I am not sure what the circumstances were that you think I could have helped her with. Unfortunately, I have multiple people that call my office on a daily basis who are very sick and looking to become new patients but I can only see so many in one day and am booked very far out. I would never bump one patient for another. I hope your mother got the care she deserves and is much better now.

Hello! I checked out your list of herbalist and I can’t find anyone around the Illinois area. I live in Chicago. Very sick from Lyme and EBV and would love some help from an herbalist here. Thank you so much.
