Covid Long-Haulers

In February 2020 the world became aware of a new potentially fatal virus that was highly contagious and spreading like wildfire around the globe. It started in China and there were reports of people dropping dead on the street, hospitals being overwhelmed, and cemeteries could not handle the load of new bodies coming in daily. The virus quickly spread to other countries and Italy went into total lockdown. COVID eventually made its way to the United States, where the response was slow and the subsequent mask mandates caused a huge backlash from the American public, half of whom were up-in-arms about the second Amendments rights they felt were being stepped on. The virus and they way our government handled it caused a deep polarization within the American people.

While some people were getting mild cases of COVID and recovering fairly quickly, others were sick for many months or would recover and then have a relapse. Over time, doctors were seeing patients who complained of lingering symptoms like exhaustion, lung distress, and chemical sensitivity. Soon a new class of patients was being described as “COVID Long-Haulers.”

Interestingly, both the Dynamic Neural Retraining System™ (developed by Annie Hopper) and the Gupta Brain Retraining Program are reporting successes treating these COVID Long-Hauler patients. It appears that some with COVID are going into fight or flight mode and having a brain sensitization reaction to the virus.

At Planet Thrive we believe that anyone who has had COVID should be taking anti-viral herbs, supportive vitamins like ascorbic acid (vitamin C), vitamin D3, zinc, magnesium and melatonin, incorporating a movement practice into their daily routine (like walking, jogging, swimming or rebounding), and doing one of the brain retraining programs, to start. As this is a relatively new condition, we will be updating this page as more information becomes available.
