At rope’s end: Severe neuro lyme or bart

Dear Stephen,
I have had lyme and bart and KPU for a long time. I have done 4+ years of oral and IV antibiotics, colloidal silver, cryptolepis, carnivora, olive leaf extract, MMS, Rifing, Bio-Chlor-Dox, HBOT, Byron White Remedies, and dabbled in the Cowden protocol. My symptoms seem to have gotten worse with the antibiotics: they came out and stayed out. My symptoms are: SEVERE 24/7 depersonalization, anxiety, depression, headaches and jaw pain, hopelessness/crying, poor memory, insomnia, vascular issues, cognitive fog, all over twitching like a boiling pot, muscle pain in back, tingling in face and scalp, hands and feet. I don’t know what else to try. Things seem to work for awhile and then I backslide while still on the treatment. I think there are probably immune dysfunction issues for which I am am now receiving IVIG. I don’t seem to respond to ANYTHING. Can you recommend anything? I deeply identify with another posting similar to mine, but I have already done hardcore antibiotics. What do you think?
Stephen’s response:
Many of these symptoms are specific to bartonella. I would highly suggest Sida acuta (1 tsp 3x daily 2 weeks, then ½ tsp thereafter), red root (1/2 tsp 3x daily), l-arginine (5000mg daily in 3 divided doses), EGCG (800 mg dialy), milk thistle seed (standardized, 1200 mg dialy), ashwagandha ½ tsp tincture just before bed (melatonin liquid as well), hawthorn (3000 mg daily), knotweed, 3000 mg daily. I don’t think the rest of the things you are taking will be much use.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have active herpes, chicken pox, or shingles DO NOT USE L-arginine.
Stephen

This protocol was incredible. After only a few weeks most of my symptoms were gone. After six months all my symptoms were gone… it has given me my life back.

I found this website in searching for Lyme tx. I have been diagnosed with late stage lyme and am using herbs for tx. Stephen had mentioned that he has jaw pain. I am a Dental Hygienist and would like to inform you that lyme can infect the jaw bone and teeth. I am living proof. Do you have any root canals or extracted teeth? If so, please try and find a Biological Dentist who can take a jaw bone scan and determine if you have any bone cavitations. I have have all of the above issues and have had surgeries to remove the bone infections and help my body detox and heal. Lyme does kill teeth, cause bone infections of the jaw, and root canal teeth harbor and feed the lyme along with many other co-infections. Also amalgams and metal toxicity in the body feed lyme disease. It also goes along with parasites. Until the parasites, metal toxicity , root canal teeth, and jaw bone cavitations are fixed…you will not heal. Antibiotics will not do it and surgery to remove the infected osteonecrotic bone is the only procedure to help for healing. Sorry to sound so negative. My health journey and research to help myself get better has been a long struggle. I have 2 more jaw surgeries to go, parasite cleansing and heavy metal detoxing….. step by step. Jaw pain is a very common problem with people that have had root canals and dental implants. Doctors and dentists have NO CLUE about all the bacteria and osteomyelitis issues and how lyme and co-infections can devastate one’s health. Good luck and hope that you will be able to seek out the tx that you will need to heal.

Celeste. My son (15) has been diagnosed with a ‘congenital’ version of CJD, whereby his jaw will keep growing out of place. Apparently not related to his hypermobility (although this seems dubious to me). Am just realising how many Bart issues he has (and also lots of cat interaction). Could there be a connection? Could Bart be contributory? I saw wonky jaw on photos at just turned 4 although did not recognise it at the time. I would welcome your thoughts if you see this.

Sorry I mean congenital TMJ, I am thinking ‘congenital jaw….’. He doesn’t have ah I can’t even spell the C for CJD. Have lyme myself!

Hi Celeste. I am in Australia and have Bartonella and Chlamydia Pneumoniae infections and possibly Borreliosis (inconclusive). My jaws and teeth ache often, I have been sick for over 20 years and my teeth are full of old amalgam fillings. My GP thinks I should have them removed and get dentures but my Lyme Drs don’t think it’s a good idea. I’m not sure if my mercury levels have been tested. If they are tested and are OK, should I leave them alone, despite the teeth/jaw aches and peridontal disease, or should I have them removed by a specialist dentist?

I have severe Depersonalization, Barotnella, and IBS as well. I tried to treat my symptoms with Sida Acuta, Knotweed, Hawthorn, L-arginine, ECGC, Ashwaghanda, and Chinese Skullcap. This seemed to only make my symptoms worse, though who knows, it could have been working. I stopped because it all became too much to manage and did not seem to be making any concrete progress. I am thinking of taking antibiotics at this point. Does anyone have any thoughts? Depersonalization is truly the worst part about this whole thing.

You have systemic candida/heavy metal toxicity! Lyme is a label for it!

  9. Darjoan

How to detox from that? And heal candida? I have jaw pain as well… lyme and bartonella confirmed… antibiotics.. but relapses and many problems… as if I do not get much oxygen… everything toxic.

I tried all herbal medications & only got better on antibiotics. I prefer the Horowitz method with Disulfiram now. Find an LLMD and they can give you Candida, fungus, Lyme, Bart cures all at once. I have European Lyme since 2000. The herbs to me were like a bandaid. And without biofilms/cyst busters you will never get better it will keep coming back.
