I had such good success with working with T-Can and Joey using FasterEFT for chemical sensitivity that when I had a major flare up two weeks ago with our new refurbished laptop, it really threw me for a loop. I tried not to be depressed, however I was quite disappointed. The guys will know what I am talking about as I was always so impatient just wanting to feel and get better. Every little setback was so annoying because it just felt so good to feel better. However, the whole laptop nasty business was quite a bigger problem. Previous to working with anyone, I tapped only when I started to feel sick. I would tap for 20 minutes and within an hour would start feeling relief. Over the summer when I asked T-Can how long I should tap for each day, he suggested an hour. A whole hour?? I thought ‘How the heck am I going to have time for that?‘ Wow. As everything else was indeed working I thought I would at least give it a try and cut back my time on other things wanting and, yes, needing my attention. I set my timer (have a few around the house) for 20 minutes and started being mindful of tapping 3 times a day. In the evening I watch TV or read to relax. If I did not get in my hour of tapping for the day, I would tap until I did, then relax for a treat. This worked really well for me. It was a big shift, as my habit – especially with the PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) – was always needing to be in bed as early as between 5:30 – 6:30 pm, basically whenever dinner was done.
When in training, athletes spend hours and hours to reach their end goal of whatever they are training for. I like Dancing with the Stars. Even the non-athlete stars will progressively spend more and more time training the longer they are in the competition. It is interesting to see how they all try to keep their regular schedule and then as they are getting closer and closer to winning something has to go as they are now focused on spending more of their valuable time on winning the trophy.
Just like athletes will cross train with other exercises, trainers and coaches, I like to attack my tapping in the same way. I, like most of you here, LOVE Faster EFT. As I have learned of brain retraining I thought I would mix things up trying other ways to tap as well such as TFT (Thought Field Therapy) and regular EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). I also like different forms of meditation. Just like an athlete chooses their form of sport, it is up to each of us to find what we not only like, but more importantly, what works for us in our own healing journey. This is what works for me and I like the variety as it does keep things interesting enough that no matter how sick or busy I may be, I can manage to get in my tapping time.
I am happy to report that I am once again feeling better with the chemical sensitivity. As like any athlete, I did bump up my time for a while. Also, after ten years I have been healed of PTSD. A topic for another blog. I finally feel like an athlete as I attack my brain training with all kinds of tapping.

How do you tap for that long?? Are you using phrases or just physically tapping? Seems tiring!
